Who are we?

We are Liverpool Business Associates Ltd, who use the trading name of Liverpool BA, and provide a range of marketing and business support services including PromoteSME, as well as organising B2B events.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. How do we collect information from you?

We receive your Personal Information from various sources:

  • When you voluntarily provide us with your personal details such as in order to register on our Site,  make purchases in our Webshop, visit one of our events, or when you contact us or make enquiries about our products, services, and events.
  • When you use or access our Site in connection with your use of our services;
  • From third-party providers, services and public registers (for example, traffic analytics vendors).

In general our activities are business to business and we regard the contact we have with you as being covered by “Legitimate Interest” within the GDPR framework. This does not affect your rights in respect of opting out or unsubscribing from any mailing lists that we manage.

What type of information is collected from you?

The personal information we collect might include your name, company name, address, email address, what weblinks you have accessed and when, as well as products browsed and added to your basket in our store. If you make an online purchase from us, your card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions as explained below.
