Increased use of mobile devices makes mobile marketing more important

Nowadays mobile devices are used more frequently to carry out a wide range of online activites.

In fact, it’s estimated that mobile phones alone now make up around 50% of all web traffic. In 2013, mobile phones accounted for less than 20% of traffic. A big increase in just 7 years.

Not so long ago you had to use your desktop pc or laptop in a fixed location to search the web and interact with others online. Now, increasing numbers of people expect to just take out their phone and find the information they’re searching for, send emails, and interact with their favourite brands at the touch of a button. Wherever they are and whatever they happen to be doing at the time.

So it’s no surprise that businesses increasingly use mobile marketing to promote products / services and engage with customers and contacts.

Lots of businesses now have their own mobile app, finding this a great way to keep in touch with customers. In turn, users can keep abreast of news and special offers. Quickly and easily accessing the information that’s relevant to them.

So we were delighted when we got the opportunity to develop a mobile app for Android and Apple. The last six months have been challenging for businesses, but it’s been great working on this project with Robin Road.

Our Liverpool PromoteSME mobile app is now up and running in the Robin Road platform. Featuring companies from across the North West, it provides information on the latest products/services being offered, along with up to date news and insights.
